Dr. Deng Haibing joined Heyu Pharmaceutical in 2016. As an initial team member, participated in the establishment of the chemistry laboratory, team building, and new drug research and development projects. During his time at Heyu, Dr. Deng led the research and development of multiple tumor targeted and tumor immune small molecule drugs, with five compounds successfully entering the clinical research stage. The fastest progressing FGFR4 inhibitor is currently in phase III registered clinical trials, while FGFR2/3 selective inhibitors are in phase II clinical trials.
Prior to joining Heyu, Dr. Deng was engaged in new drug research and development in Novartis and Lilly, the internationally renowned pharmaceutical companies. He has successively served as a researcher, chief researcher and project leader, and participated in and led several new drug research and development projects in the fields of cancer, epigenetics, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, diabetes and obesity.
Dr. Deng graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Chemistry at Lanzhou University and a doctoral degree from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
