Wenxin Luo
Dr Luo is a professor at the School of Public Health, Xiamen University. Her research focuses on the discovery of novel oncology targets, therapeutic antibodies, and cell therapy. As principal investigator, she has led more than ten research projects funded by national and provincial grant programs. She has published over 40 research articles in journals including Nature Cancer, Nature Microbiology, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Science, and has been granted 20 Chinese invention patents and 24 overseas patents in jurisdictions including the United States, Europe, and Japan. A therapeutic antibody against hepatitis B, co-developed by her team, has advanced to Phase I clinical trials overseas. Additionally, as a key team investigator, she has received numerous honors, including the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Xiamen, the China Patent Gold Award, the Special Prize for Invention Patents of Fujian Province, the Special Prize for Invention Patents of Xiamen, and the Qiushi Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement (Collective).
