Dr. Kendra Rose
 

Kendra Rose, PhD, is SVP within Bayer's Pharmaceuticals Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) function and leads the efforts in several therapeutic areas, including Cell and Gene Therapy, Cardiovascular, Immunology, Ophthalmology and Women’s Health.

Dr. Rose and her dynamic team drive Bayer’s collaborations and partnerships in cutting-edge fields such as cell and gene therapy, as well as cardiovascular and immunology. They tirelessly scout, evaluate, secure partnerships, and nurture these relationships via alliance management to bolster Bayer’s strategic initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas.

Since joining Bayer in 2015, Dr. Rose has been instrumental in New Product Commercialization and Global Strategic Marketing, providing crucial commercial insights for both internal and external pipelines. She played a pivotal role in the global launch of late-stage cardiovascular assets, steering the overarching cardiovascular strategy. Transitioning to BD&L, Dr. Rose developed the New Business Development function and team, which crafted valuation models, provided commercial input, and assessed pharmaceutical deals.

Prior to her tenure at Bayer, Dr. Rose worked at Novartis in Global New Products and spearheaded the global launch of a leading heart failure medication. Her career began at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products in R&D, followed by various roles in US marketing within its medical device sector, and ultimately a cross-sector Innovation role.

Dr. Rose's impressive academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from Stanford University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Her experience across multiple disciplines and her passion for patients are what guides her to drive innovation and growth within Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals division.

Currently, the advantages of the biopharmaceutical industry between China and Europe complement each other, and the momentum of cooperation and development is strong. In line with the trend of global development of innovative drugs in China, CPIC 2026 will heavily build the China Europe Health Industry Forum.
