Three days of the conference passed in the blink of an eye, yet they were rich with substance.

22 countries, nearly 900 speakers, over 10,000 participants, 65 specialized sessions, 6 overseas forums — these numbers represent the first report card of the inaugural "Great Nation New Drugs" Global Conference (CPIC 2026), and more importantly, a grand gathering of global pharmaceutical innovation forces in Shanghai.

On July 22, the main forum opened in the Golden Hall with the theme "China Efficiency Accelerating Global Innovation." The full-day keynote sessions set a sweeping tone for the entire conference, clearly outlining the strategic vision for "Great Nation New Drugs" from concept to implementation.

The 65 specialized sessions formed the solid backbone of the conference — covering everything from antibodies, ADCs, and small nucleic acids to radiopharmaceuticals, from AI drug discovery to brain-computer interfaces, and from cross-border investment to global collaboration. Each sub-sector was deeply dissected and vigorously debated, presenting a panoramic view of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry's complete journey from "follower" to "leader."

Throughout the three-day event, every session was packed to capacity, with attendees standing in the aisles and at the back of the halls — a powerful testament to the conference's strong convening effect and the industry's keen interest in technological innovation and globalization.

The 6 overseas forums were particularly well-attended, with speakers from different countries sharing market insights and practical experience, making the event truly "rooted in China, engaging with the world" — fully demonstrating the boundless possibilities of deep integration and shared progress in the global pharmaceutical industry, with China as the host.

On stage, ideas clashed and thoughts collided; off stage, partnerships sprouted and consensus grew.

To facilitate efficient industry connections, the CPIC 2026 dedicated 1-on-1 business matching system was activated. Participants leveraged the platform to precisely match resources and advance cooperation through face-to-face meetings. By the time the conference closed, over 4,000 matching sessions had been conducted — fully demonstrating the conference's value in driving industrial transactions.

Three days were short — too short to fully savor; yet three days were also long enough to plant countless seeds of collaboration. CPIC 2026 may have drawn to a close, but the story of "Great Nation New Drugs" has only just begun.

Throughout the three-day event, the hall drew packed audiences and vibrant networking, showcasing China's open and proactive engagement with the global innovation ecosystem.

The "Innovation from the Clinic" session at Noah Wealth Center, co-hosted by the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, Tongxieyi, and alumni associations of top overseas universities, brought together clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders. The agenda focused on real-world clinical-industry integration, attracting packed audiences from hospitals, research institutes, and pharma — highlighting the strong industry resonance behind the theme.

Beyond the main venue in Shanghai, CPIC 2026 also held a special session at the Suzhou Industrial Park, gathering government, financial, and pharma representatives for deep discussions on global capital management, R&D directions, and BD trends — offering participants both strategic vision and practical takeaways.
