Hello, "Lu Lu" – The Mascot Is Officially Named!

Remember that bronze unicorn that traveled through 3,000 years to submit a "job application" to CPIC?

 

After more than ten days of global name征集, we received enthusiastic submissions from partners in pharma, venture capital, media, manufacturing, and other fields. From classical poetry to modern tech terms, behind each name lies an expectation for "Chinese innovation, global future."

 

Today, we officially announce:

The CPIC 2026 mascot is named: 「甪甪」 (English name: Lu Lu).

 

Part 01: What Story Does "Lu Lu" Hold?

 

"Lu Lu" originates from Luduan, an auspicious beast in ancient Chinese mythology.

Legend has it that Luduan can travel 18,000 li per day, understands the languages of all四方, and only accompanies wise rulers, bringing protection and good fortune. It symbolizes connection and wisdom, as well as integrity and guardianship.

 

This aligns seamlessly with the spirit of CPIC 2026:

  • Understanding all languages mirrors the global vision and cross-cultural communication of pharmaceutical innovation.

  • Traveling 18,000 li per day symbolizes the rapid, breakthrough pace of Chinese innovative drugs.

  • Accompanying wise rulers and bringing protection echoes the "upholding integrity, compliance, and commitment" that underlies the pharmaceutical industry.

 

The reduplication into "Lu Lu" adds warmth and softness to this ancient power. It can be a comforting companion by your side, or a cultural symbol of Chinese innovative drugs going global.

 

The horn hidden in the character "甪" perfectly echoes the mascot's bronze unicorn design.

 

Part 02: Final Adoption Award

 

"Lu Lu" was submitted by Mr. Wu Huiming (Huizhong Media) and was adopted.

 

We will present Mr. Wu Huiming with:

  • 1 CPIC 2026 conference first-edition limited mascot collector's gift box

  • 1 CPIC 2026 Full Access Pass (including all open sessions)

 

Thank you to Mr. Wu Huiming for his inspiration, giving "Lu Lu" its name and making the CPIC 2026 brand memory even more vivid.

We are seeking "Global Co-Creation Partners" (brand sponsors) for the CPIC 2026 mascot. This is not just sponsorship; it is an opportunity for deep brand collaboration around the conference's core cultural symbol.

(I) What We Can Offer You

Becoming a "Global Co-Creation Partner" for the CPIC 2026 mascot means you are not just a sponsor, but a co-creator of this cultural IP.

01. Full-Channel Brand Exposure

  • Content Co-Creation: One brand-customized article (1 min video) on the official conference WeChat public account and video channel, telling your brand story or product scenario through the mascot.

  • Topic Co-Creation: Jointly launch a Weibo/Xiaohongshu hashtag (e.g., #CPICMascotGuardianPartner#), with the brand participating in interactive content and repost sweepstakes.

  • Community Promotion: Integrate the brand-mascot image and brand logo into official conference social media posts and WeChat Moments posters.

  • Cross-Promotion: One joint announcement or cross-post between the conference's and the brand's official social media accounts.

02. On-Site Visibility and Scene-Specific Benefits

  • VIP Gift Inclusion: Print co-branded logos on VIP attendee gift bags/boxes.

  • On-Site Sculpture Recognition: Brand logo placement next to the large mascot sculpture in the core conference area.

  • Costume Parade: Brand logo sticker or branded prop displayed during designated mascot costume parade sessions.

  • Co-created Photo Spot: Jointly design one themed photo installation (e.g., mascot × brand giant photo frame) with a brand product experience zone to encourage attendee photography and social sharing.

  • Xiaohongshu Incentive Program: Set up a mechanism at the on-site photo spot such as "post a Xiaohongshu note with designated hashtags to receive brand samples/conference limited-edition merchandise" to incentivize UGC.

03. Co-branded Merchandise Development

  • Co-branded Merchandise: Jointly develop limited-edition co-branded merchandise (e.g., mascot × brand pins, magnets, tote bags, T-shirts) for use as on-site interactive rewards or gifts through brand channels.

  • Gift Exchange Model: The brand does not need to pay cash for this item. If the brand has its own mascot, a "two mascots together" limited co-branded design can be created and distributed through both parties' channels for mutual traffic generation. The brand should provide no fewer than 1,000 self-owned small gifts (e.g., plush toys, cultural products, health gift boxes, product samples, custom daily necessities) for on-site check-in rewards, Xiaohongshu incentive distribution, etc.
